Andrea Vaccari investigates people's lifestyle and sentiment through their interaction with digital technologies, pervasive systems and the built environment. His projects focus on the study of mobility, tourism, and the distribution and evolution of activities and opinions to provide new tools to innovate and anticipate the effects of such innovations. Andrea has collaborated with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Santa Fe Institute. His work has been exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and the Design Museum in Barcelona, Spain. His work has also been featured on the New York Times and Time Magazine. Andrea holds a BS degree from Politecnico di Milano, Italy, and a joint MS degree in Computer Engineering from Politecnico di Milano and Politecnico di Torino, Italy. He also holds a MS degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he is completing the PhD program.
